Lino cut on fineart paper A/P
Title " The futility of knowing the spinning earth is hurtling through space in a galaxy that is spinning and also moving and we are made up of mainly water - this makes me scream a primal scream. " Lino cuts are well associated with secondary school in my mind , something childish and not for adults. I have had some lino the soft type for cutting and linoleum cutter set and inks stored away guess I was going to use it sometime or that was what I was thinking when I purchased. So the first one I made was awful this is my second attempt , now must I list the interesting things about lino cuts , I guess they are a lot more tactile and slow the lino is physical and demands a certain type of line. One must plan a cut or design and really stick to it . Ok so this image is pretty primitive I felt primitive making it believe me. There is an obvious influence and I have given it a kind of a long title, the mark making reminded me of rock art at the Neolithic site like Newgran

Photographic prints by Paul Woods Ok, I had better say something about these images. Quickly they were taken a long time ago but what ever exposure these were taken at these prints are quite graphic and well unbelievably edited with a very high contrast. Think black and white can be low fi and contrasty - high contrast. There is a connection to painting in the composition and editing and bright midday light . CC Creative Commons I may print these myself , Cyanotype Print Maybe available at some point in time. .
Octopus 3d sculpt
3dsculpt in 3dcoat for an experimental piece with music collaboration with a musician friend . Currently learning new 3d software - I have been at it for years really but with covid 19 and plenty free time I have modernised and will be using 3d coat Akeystu and Blender - All new to me but they are all powerful and professional tools and a pleasure to work with in 2021 The above is a work in progress and the texture is only for viewing the render I will retopo it and paint it up before I rig it and animate , more sea creatures to sculpt first.
