Paul Woods comes from a fine art background attending Art college for 2 years before leaving. Having worked as a professional screenprinter among other professions he always seemed to utilise computers to create artworks whether it was graphic design or 3d modeling or digital photography. Later adding multimedia to his skillset he embraced animation and music . Paul has illustrated a spanish poetry book drawing from photoshop collages. His work seems to enter and exit a computer's inputs and outputs a number of times before competition. Photography became a major driving force in his creativity through webdesign and local camera clubs where he met and explored different styles. He shoots Mainly digital but most of the work represented here is personal, for fun he prefers to shoot film - the older and more unpredictable the better; often using an old dusty scanner and allowing parts of the negative's tracks to be exposed in the frame . Paul Woods' main area of practice is photography. This was not always the case having a background in fine arts and computing his interests often collide in a digital space where music , video and animation are the best medium of expression : to captivate the widest possible audience should be every artist motto.
