资本主义 Titled "Capitalism"

Another lock down painting. This is titled capitalism, the photograph doesn't show the surface quality of the paint properly, paintings have an aesthetic that is unique to the medium. These are acrylics pretty fun and rewarding to paint with, oils  I found rather slow and sleeping in the same room as I paint the fumes became unbearable I gave up painting in them years ago soon after I stopped working as a professional screenprinter.  I am a collector and a procrastinator, having art supplies for years and not using them always an excuse not to use them; this lockdown has made me enter back into the conversation, that is art. Covid 19 - Corona Virus Painting

Covid 19 - Corona Virus Painting Due to unprecedented lock down I found myself painting again this is a piece inspired by what is on everyone's mind also I would never have painted at all with out this lock down !  The original design coming from a 3d model and render I created - I like my virus's shape is irregular not like the various clips and videos on the news backdrops that make it look regular and geometric more like pollen under an electron microscope. I did think about the shape and light a lot , I took liberty with the colours very modern and harsh. This and my last painting were painted on a hand stretched canvas  - these had been sitting around for 15 years , sad really it took till now to use them.
